Saint Louis (AFP) – Colin Kaepernick threw two touchdown passes, and the San Francisco 49ers defeated the St. Louis Rams 35-11 in an NFL game, improving to 2-2 on the season.

San Francisco’s Frank Gore rushed 20 times for 153 yards, including a 34-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, while Kendall Hunter ran 29 yards and Anthony Dixon ran one yard for fourth-quarter touchdowns to spark the 49ers.

Kaepernick completed 15-of-23 passes for 167 yards and found Anquan Boldin five times for 90 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.

Kaepernick added a 12-yard touchdown passes to Vernon Davis in the third quarter to give the 49ers a 21-3 lead, and St. Louis never got within 17 points again.

Sam Bradford flipped a six-yard touchdown pass to Lance Kendricks in the fourth quarter, but it was too little and too late for the Rams, who fell to 1-3.
